On the south east side of the island Krk, situated on a precipitous rock on 50 m of highness is located the picturesque town of Vrbnik.

A whiff of the past is reflected in a tight streets- Vrbnik has the tighten street on the world. The antique houses, a middleaged churches and a castle give a special charm to this place. The main church with a marvellous renaissance altar Ružarica and the chapel of Saint John the Baptist, the protector of the town, are the most significant sacral monuments of Vrbnik. The Glagolitic inscriptions are visible on the streets in the old town and the lovers of the expositions can visit an interesting exposition in the steeple.
