Premantura is a town which is located at the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula. This town has been populated since the Bronze Age and it is an absolute haven for visitors and inhabitants alike. What Premantura is best known for is the long and narrow peninsula of Kamenjak. It is 9,5km long and is encompassed by 30km of coastline dotted with numerous coves, pebbled and sandy beaches, cliffs and canyons. Cape Kamenjak is also surrounded by many islands. Across from the Cape lies a little island with a 34m high lighthouse called Porer. Premantura is an excellent place for the active tourist. Due to the strong winds in the late summer and early fall, it is the perfect place for wind-surfing and sailing.
