Three thermal springs are waiting for the visitors of the Thermal and Health Resort Dolenjske from many centuries ago. The first written document about the thermal centres from these places is from the XIII century.
Medical science has confirmed the healthy effects ot the thermal water. A combination of the modern scientific methods and of the natural resources make possible to cure various disturbs as rheumatic diseases and conditions following injuries to the locomotor system. But the Thermal and Health Resort Dolenjske invites also the ones who don't have particular healthy problems to relax, escape from the daily stress and enjoy in a healthy rest.
The Dolenjske Thermal Spa can be distinguished for the personal approach and for the centuries old tradition and experience that are offering to each visitor.
In the 1997 the Thermal and Health Resort Dolenjske acquired the ISO 9001 Certificate of Quality for the offered services.
For the relaxation and recreation at the Health Resort are offered: 3 indoor pools (36oC), bicycles for renting for the ones who wants to explore the surrounding nature and picnic areas to pass all the day outdoor, tennis courts with instructors and swimming instructors at the pools, polygons for the shooting to sign, fitness centres and various types of sauna, manual and underwater massage, pedicure, manicure, the possibility of fishing on the River Krka, organized trips to the vineyard cottages, for the ones who are more adventuress there is the rafting or the panoramic flights in light planes and for the ones who wants to have a calm evening a carriage ride, social events, tea parties and guided walks.
At the modern Balnea Wellness Centre there are three different offers:
1. Lagoon with the indoor and outdoor pools end the pools for children;
2. Oasis with its Finnish and Turkish sauna, the bio sauna, the aromatic sauna, the sauna cabin on the naturist terrace, the Japanese sweat bath, the tropical garden and the whirlpool bath;
3. Aura where is possible to have various individual massage programs like the classic manual, the shiatsu, the reflex foot massage, the thermotherapy, the aromatherapy, the anti-cellulite massage, the lymph drainage, the ultrasound beauty therapy, the vitasalin, the green vacuum and the Energy Island.
The healthy natural resources at the Thermal Spa Dolenjske are the isoaccratothermal water with a temperature of 36oC, slightly mineralized containing mainly calcium, magnesium and hydro carbonates. To the healthy resources that are coming directly from the nature are joined the various specialized services from the Thermal Centre that are: the treatments for rheumatic diseases, the programs for conditions following injuries and operations on the locomotor system, the cures for the osteoporosis and for the gynecological diseases, the healthy programs for healing back pain and for children to correct poor posture, the preventive health programs and health education with dietary nutrition. At the centre there are specialized clinics that are: the psychiatric, the orthopaedic, the rheumatologic, the balneological, the osteoporosis and the EMG.
Visiting the Health Resort and the Thermal Spa Dolenjske there is possible to participate on different excursions at the valley of the River Krka, to Novo Mesto, at the Otocec castle, nearby the slopes of Kocevski Rog, to Pleterje, to Kostanjevica and to Bela Krajna.
