Ravna Gora is een nederzetting in de bergen die zich bezig houdt met de landbouw en het bewerken van hout, maar die ook een toeristisch potentiaal heeft als belangrijkste gebied voor ski wedstrijden in Kroatië. Het toerisme is in Ravna Gora vooral georiënteerd op het wintertoerisme maar ook het jachttoerisme en de visvangst ontwikkelen zich steeds meer. Javorova Kosa (1016 m) is een onuitputtelijke waterbron voor Ravna Gora en de omgevende plaatsen met de 6 half onder de grond verlopende rivieren die aan de voet van de berg verschijnen en iets verderop in de rivier Dobra stromen. Kleinere plaatsen in de omgeving van Ravna Gora zijn Kupjak , Leskova Draga, Stari Laz, Stara Susica en Sije.
