Drasnice

 

Drasnice is a s picturesque small town on Makarska Riviera, just 10 km away from the city of Makarska. The gothic church of St. Stephen with a Roman inscription from  2nd century gives a special charm to the place. Drasnice have many old churches that testimony about the history of  the place: the church of St. George from the 15th century on the sea with many stone monuments, Church of St. Roch, built in 1914., St. Katherine and above the church of St. Nicholas from the 18th century. In the center of the old village, in 1891., was built the church of St. George, who was considerably damaged in the earthquake of 1962.
Near the long beach, there is a source of water 'Izbitac. Protected with the cliffs of Biokovo, surrounded by pine forests and beautiful gravel beaches Drasnice are an ideal place for vacation with family enjoying the sun and sea. Good restaurants and developed entertainment program enhances the tourist experience of the place. The main dock called 'mul' is 25 m long and protects moored boats and yachts in the small harbor and stone architecture of the typical Dalmatian houses and taverns offer a unique atmosphere of some ancient time, which will not leave indifferent any guest.
