The city Sibenik is the centre of the Sibenik – Knin County. It is an economically developed city full of culture as well as a great tourist destination.
Sibenik is located in a deep inlet and is one of the most naturally protected harbours on the Adriatic and is not far from the mouth of the river Krke.
Sibenik is a city full of cultural and historical monuments such as the cathedral of St. Jakov which was built in the 15th century, the town hall, the churches of St. Barbara and St. Fran as well as many town squares, palaces, fortresses and other churches which are spread throughout the city.
