Hostel Toplice Sveti Martin

Near the place of Saint Martin on Mura River, in a valley located on the north slopes of the hills of Međimurje, just 15 minutes of driving far of the town of Cakovec and about 1 hour from Zagreb are located the Saint Martin thermal spas.

In the 1911, during the oil diggings were discovered sources of healing thermal water. The habitants of that area recognised the proprieties of the healing water and in 1936 were built the first woody pool and one indoor pool with thermal water and several baths. The water temperature is equal whole these years in the range from 33-34ºC degrees. Because of its healing proprieties it's recommended using it for degenerative diseases of the spine or the articulations, rheumatic diseases, jam consequences, soft tissue injuries, fractures and so on.

The Saint Martin thermal spas are the most equipped thermal centre in Croatia and with its offer compete to the ones in Slovenia. This quality was recognised from the Croatian economic master chamber that gave them the first prize in the category of best Croatian thermal centres in 2006.

On approximately 1700m² aquatic surface is located a rich recreational offer. The indoor-closed pools have a surface of 600m² and include the recreation pool with water effects, thermal pools with massage jets, children's pool and three Jacuzzis. The open-outdoor pools on a surface of 450m² include thermal pools with 90 massage sitting places circle shaped, the recreational oval pool with a wild river effect, massage jets, cave, waterfalls and Jacuzzi on the artificial island. In the spas of Saint Martin is also located the largest water slides in Croatia, for those who love the adrenaline. Except the contents on the water the guests can use the sport fields of basket, tennis, beach volley, table tennis and bowling field. They can also enjoy in the wellness with the vapour and Finland sauna, aromatic baths for relaxing, medical massages, foot massage and many other types of massage. The female population will be delighted to know that there are many beauty programs in offer: facial cleaning with fruit enzymes, reactivation treatments, anti-ageing treatments, anti-cellulite treatments and relaxing massages. Except the activities in the spas there are organised rafting and fishing trips on the affluent of the Mura River.

The accommodation is available in the apartment complex Regina or in private houses in the vicinity, but is planned to construct a 4 star hotels. The gastronomic specialities are offered in one small restaurant in the indoor pools complex, a big restaurant and pizza places, while you can take a break in bars or in the known pub Potkova.
