Cavtat je turistično središče najbolj južnega dela hrvaške jadranske obale in eno najlepših majhnih mest na vzhodni Jadranski obali. Cavtat je mesto prijetnega podnebja, bujnega rastja, slikovitih plaž, rekreacijskih in športnih naprav in zgledne kulinarike. Frančiškanska cerkev Gospa od Cavtata je gotsko-renesančna stavba s slikami starih dubrovniških mojstrov in pomembnega slikarja Vlahe Bukovca iz 19.-20. stol., samostanska klavzura je iz 1483. V baročni župnijski cerkvi sv. Nikole iz 1732 so leseni oltarij, v župnišču pa slikarska zbirka.
