The island of Cres is the second largest island in the Adriatic Sea. It is located on the northern side of the gulf of Kvarner. Cres's beautiful inlets, clear blue sea and fabulous beaches will make your holiday an unforgettable one.
At the heart of the island is the city of Cres. In the city of Cres you will see many remains from Roman and Venetian times as well as from the Austrian-Hungarian monarchy. Along with the city of Cres, are the towns Lubenice, Valun, Martinscica, Miholascica, Osor, Ustrine and Vrana.

The island of Cres is known for its many phenomenons. One of them is the fresh water lake Vran which is quite large (5km2) and interesting because of its geological and hydrological characteristics.
