Lokve is a village in Gorski Kotar, 8 km southwest of Delnice. Chief occupations are farming and wood processing. Lokve is located on the local road, a diverging road from the main road Karlovac - Rijeka. First mentioned in 1481. After the Louise Road had been finished, Lokve became an important traffic and communication point, connecting the coastal region with the interior.
Tourism has a long tradition in Lokve. In 1906 the Society for Beautification of the Town was established, and the construction of the storage lake Omladinsko Jezero made Lokve a sports centre for water sports - underwater orientation, rowing regattas.
