Begovo Razdolje e' situato nel cuore del Gorski Kotar, sulla parte ovest del pendice di Bjelolasica. Questo e' il piu' alto villaggio in Croazia che e' su un altitudine di 1078 metri.

Gli abitanti di Begovo Razdolje, per la loro posizione ed il clima del posto sono sempre stati orienatati alla falegnameria. All'inizio del secolo precedente, quando il villaggio comincio a svilupparsi, solo che con la falegnameria si occupano anche del trasporto di  legno e carbone sulla costa Mediterranea e caccia di selvaggina.

Oggi a Begovo Razdolje ci sono, piu' o meno 40 abitanti, quasi tutti anziani.

Begovo Razdolje, si puo dire, e' speciale per la sua lingua - dialetto materno, il quale si parla ancor' oggi. Adesso gli abitanti sono orientati piu' al turismo e alla agricultura e al allevamento dei bestiami.
