Brodarica è situato in una parte della costa coltivata tra Sebenico (Sibenik) e Primosten, di fronte al pittoresco arcipelago di Sebenico. Di fronte a Brodarice si trova l’isola di Krapanj nella parte sud-orientale del Canale di Sebenico, di 0,36 kmq. Il punto più largo misura solo 7 m e la divide dalla terraferma un passaggio di 300 m. Gli abitanti si occupano di agricoltura, nonché di pesca di coralli e spugne. In paese si trova pure una raffineria di spugne. Durante il Medio Evo, Krapanj era possedimento del capitolo di Sebenico e dal 1446 passa sotto l`autorità dei Francescani, che vi costruiscono un convento con chiesa. Sull'isola di Krapanj si trova il museo della flora e fauna dell`Adriatico e una bella collezione di anfore.
