Sulla  frontiera con la Slovenia, situato in una pittoresca valle fertile del fiume Kupa accanto la sua corrente superiore alle falde dei monti soprastanti e' situato Brod na Kupi.

Al centro della cittadina  domina  il castello Zrinski. L'edifico a tre piani a forma di quadrato data dal 1651. ed era circondato da una muraglia che oggi e' distrutta. Si suppone che il castello sia stato costruito sulle rovine di quello precedente, costruito nel 1577.

Nelle vicinanze e' situata la chiesa parrochiale della Santa Maria Maddalena costruita in stile barocco nel 1670. Pero' lo stile barrocco si e' disperso nei numerosi incendi e demolizioni parziali subite nella seconda Guerra Mondiale.

Nei testi storici Brod na Kupi si menziona come citta' peschereccia per via del fimue che la attraversa, ricco di varie specie di pesci d'acqua dolce. Tuttoggi il posto e' conosciuto come luogo peschereccio, di caccia e generalmente come destinazione turistica. Accanto alla pesca il fiume Kupa e' ideale per il kayak,  il kanu e il rafting. In alternativa alle attivita' legate al fiume Brod na Kupi e' il punto di partenza ideale per le rotte ciclistiche, i gruppi d'alpinisti, l'equitazione e varie escursioni.
