Crikvenica (Cirquenizza) è una pittoresca città e noto centro turistico. Il clima mediterraneo e le bellezze naturali del luogo hanno reso possibile la trasformazione in centro turistico di quello che una volta era un semplice villaggio di pescatori. Il frequentato centro turistico prende il nome dalla presenza di una chiesa e di un monastero eretti dai paolini nel 1412 per volontà del nobile Nikola Frankopan.
